WISE–FTP contends well against some of the higher ranked products in terms of connections, transfers and time saving tools. This FTP program supports many popular security protocols including SSH, SSL and TLS as well as a variety of encryption algorithms.

Though this product offers an adequate level of security for most uses, it does not support as many options as some of our higher ranked products. But if you are looking for a product that enables you to remotely manipulate files and supports SSL transfers and XCRC verifications, this FTP software can fulfill your needs.

Security:  

WISE–FTP has the ability to work with a popular collection of encryption algorithms including RijnDael (128, 192 & 256–bit), Blowfish, TripleDES and PGP. It can also utilize SFTP and SSL/TLS protocol for safe transfers. This program supports anonymous logins and can check requests by XCRC.

Connectivity/Transfer Abilities:  

This program has some good connection and transfer abilities including keep alive, resume, reconnect and the capacity to run multiple threads and open multiple connections.

If you are interested in time saving features or perform similar tasks often, WISE–FTP may be a good fit. It has a macro recorder to save commonly used sequences of commands and you can set custom shortcuts and common transfer paths. This program can also synchronize directories, folders and subfolders and mirror files. Of course it can also perform compressed and multi–part transfers.

WISE–FTP is compatible with FTP, HTTP, SFTP and Socks (4, 4A & 5)

User Tools:  

This program has a clean–looking, well–organized interface that offers many useful tools. It has almost everything we were looking for including the ability to switch languages, a drag & drop tool, custom commands, scheduling, list options and a progress monitor. It also has the ability to configure general, connection, queue, transfer and interface settings.

It has an integrated HTML editor, can open and run scripts, save favorites and has a configuration wizard.

Technical Help/Support:  

AceBIT offers technical support through embedded help and online support through FAQS, an active forum, tutorials and email.

Summary:  

This FTP software competes well with popular FTP products in terms of functionality and an easy–to–use interface, but lacks some of the security features that products like SmartFTP and CuteFTP include.
