Security:  

Core FTP can work with 128 and 256–bit SSL and TLS type security encryption as well as AES, Blowfish and 3DES encryption algorithms. They have recently added Clear Command Channel (CCC) compatibility and it supports SSH (1&2) and HTTPS type connections. Basically, Core FTP supports most popular security methods, but we could not find much information about their verification methods, other than some filtering.

Connectivity/Transfer Abilities:  

Core FTP Pro has a keep alive feature as well as reconnect and resume options. It can run multiple threads and can perform streaming compression. Core FTP has the ability to transfer in ANSI, Binary and Unicode and can work with International Domain Names.

This program supports a variety of proxies and protocols, including FTP, HTTP, SFTP and SOCKS (4, 4A & 5).

This FTP software is suitable for most FTP needs, however, it doesn’t appear to have NAT support or file mirroring.

User Tools:  

Core FTP contains useful user tools including drag & drop transfers, custom commands, scheduling and directory/list tools. It also supports file permission changes (CHMOD) and most used files can be bookmarked.

This program offers few extra tools, for example it does not have an HTML editor, backup or archiving tools, a URL watcher or a clipboard monitor.

Technical Help/Support:  

This FTP software includes embedded help and email support for licensed users, online there are tutorials, FAQS and a user forum.

Core FTP is a fitting program for most uses; however, if you need more verification methods and protocols, for around the same price you could try SmartFTP.
