AceFTP offers freeware, but we looked at the Pro version, in which a single license runs less than $20. It is a functional program that includes explicit/ implicit SSL as well as SOCKS 4 and 5 compatibilities.
With this program you can set transfer speeds as well as schedule transfers. For the price, this is a pretty good program, but we found little information on how transfer requests are verified.
Overall, this program performs all major FTP functions and provides exceptional online support including telephone support, which is rare.
